Learner Response System

These settings apply to ExpressPoll and Prepared Questions voting sessions.

ExpressPoll

Question timeout

The time allowed to respond to a question. Setting a default timeout restricts the time available to vote.

If you do not set a default timeout, voting will continue until all learners have responded, or until you click Stop Vote .

Default = 0

Apply timeout to prepared questions

 Apply the above timeout to prepared questions.

 Default = Do not apply the timeout.

Append question to current flipchart

 Append the question to the end of the current flipchart on a new page.

 Default = Do not append the question.

ActiVote

Allow users to modify their response

 Allow users to modify their response during the timeout period. When the timeout period has ended, further responses are ignored.

 Default = Do not allow users to modify their responses.

Answers

Show results after vote

 Default = Display results on the board after the vote has ended.

 Do not display results.

Automatic page advance

 Turn the page automatically after receiving votes.

 Default = Do not turn the page automatically.

Anonymous mode

 Display the results of the vote anonymously.

 Default = Display the results by device or name.

Prompt for retry if missing responses

 Default. If the timeout is reached and not all responses have been received, a Dialog Box prompts you if you want to try again.

 Voting session ends when timeout is reached, even if no response has been received from one or more devices.

Close results window on page navigation

 Default.

 Results window remains open when you navigate to another flipchart page.

Count unanswered devices

 Default. All devices are included in the statistical calculations displayed in the Results window.

 Devices that have not sent a response are excluded from the calculations.

Devices to target for voting sessions

Default = Africanders

Can select ActiVotes from dropdown list.

Show assigned devices only

 Default. Show all devices in the Voting Browser and in reports, including any devices not assigned to learners.

 Show only devices that have been assigned
